Manifestations of gestation and fertility inspired this body of work. I have a fascination with fecundity in the form of seeds and comets through their diverse dispersal methods.
I also recognized a human variation of seed dissemination in the sport of badminton. Shuttlecocks intended to temper the movement of an object through the atmosphere also came to mind.
This manipulation of movement is evident in many seed structures for similar reasons but ultimately to further increase the species. Similarly the celestial movement of comets also bear the ability to transport elemental components through time and space.
The objects presented here explore these separate yet similar themes.
